I am really not sure about the wisdom of doing away testing business whether CBSE or any other.
1. Cultural differences are so many that one size does not fit for all.
2. It requires sophisticated & progresive assessment system which our teachers are yet to undertsand.
3. Assessment is a mjor discipline by itself and teachers need a whole lot of training and specialised skills
4. Not all private school owners are ethically or morally upright people that their influence and intimidation cannot be ruled out.
5. There can be no unifornmity in the assessment system among schools.
6. Most our students are not sufficiently mature to alighn themselves with the such concept that they will have to be on tiptoe all the time.
7. I worked in the U.K as a teacher and I know how hard it is to fit our educational system which functions on different principles.
