   As expected...government officials implicated in the school fire  accident have been discharged in  the Tanjore verdict. One wonders what would be the outcome of the case for the  founder owner , the correpspondent and the principal in the higher courts of appeal.
Will they also be acquitted as having no motive for the tragedy? What about the gross negligence which led to the tragedy amounting to a carnage one may ask? People cannot easily forget such human suffering caused by the greed of a few individuals.

This is a clear case of criminal  negligence or a

"a gross deviation from the standard of care expected of a reasonable person that is manifest in a failure to protect others from a risk (as of death) deriving from one's conduct."   I am sure the courts will decide fairly in this case and the Government will tighten the rules of
safety standards in schools.
