Re: How  to answer TANCET MBA question on  Analysis of Business Situations?
Well , you have to understand the concepts of

1.Major Objective
2.Major factor
3.Minor Factor
4.Major Assumption
5. Unimportant issue

in order to evaluate the passage and  answer those questions following it.

The "marketing objectives" state just where the company aims  to be at some specific time in the future. James Quinn  defined objectives in general as: Goals (or objectives) state what is to be achieved and when results are to be accomplished, but Goals are destinations—where you want your business to be. Objectives are progress markers along the way to goal achievement.

Major Factor
is the consideration  For example Obama's recent taxation plan  is a major factor to be considered by the outsourcing companies.
Another major factor influencing the choice of activities to be outsourced is obsolescence arising from the rapid changes in IT.

Minor Factor  less important consideration than a major consideration. For example outsourcing companies do not mind the cost of the service providers but for service providers cost is a major factor.

Major assumption : is an assertion about some characteristic of the future that underlies the current operations or plans of an organization. For instance, if a networking infrastructure firm, projects 80% operating margins, investors will protest  because investors can readily access the operating margins of publicly-traded networking infrastructure firms and find that none have operating margins this high.

Uninmportant Issue is what everyone understands well. If you happen to be a white man
Wanting to do business in India, Vastu is an unimportant issue for you.
