Is it true top world class business schools do not prefer unemployed and low salaried class of applicants? I am told Harvard & Colmubia have just one goal - to make CEO's of major corporates to which end they expect candidates to be self reliant and different.

I may not speak for certain on such matters though you have a very valid point. Bschools mean strictly business without messing up by admitting oddballs with exiguous incomes.. But there are a few who offer social enterprise programs , willing to understand non-traditional guys like those who work for charity. A safer bet is on who sounds no notes of "acrophobia" to his resume but shows signs of dashing confidence and financial strength.
