I think you and forum members are unnecessarily wasting time on issues not  connected with real life. Wealth comes from bribery and almost every educated person could be either lured or victimised as the case may be. The most honest prime minister of India is unable to open his mouth as he is being silenced by a more powerful and corrupt system. Some of the IAS officials are corrupt to the core and misleading the public. They take sides and are powerless against a ruthless political culture . There are Harvard educated wily foxes who simply make noise or file suits in the apex courts to blackmail and extort money from political parties.
The more you are educated the worse trained criminal you turn to be. We just learnt how a London based senior diplomat became a thuggish wife beater and had to be shown his door by the U.K. government. There are discontented civil servants who resign, start political parties and play games . They are the worst type as they are up to corruption in style. When the majority of the 'so called" educated are easily sucked into the blackhole called corruption.,do you think education can change it all?

The route cause of corruption is population explotion. If population is not controlled it leads to ruthless competition to share resources and oppportunties by exercising one's power over the others. The weak will stay passive and mute spectators unable to resist  the predatorial behaviour of the mighty. It is the same behavioural pattern as we watch in the animal world.  But it is even worse among human beings who go berserk like hungry hyenas after money and wealth no matter what it means to the the rest. In Islamic countries, they have severe punishment like amuptation of the limbs or execution. Our leaders are lucky not to have been born in Iran or Iraq.

Education brings awareness- the essential tool with which you can fight corruption. To give you an example, in Gujarat there is lot of illegal quarrying of limestone. The thirsty limestone is a natural barrier between seawater and fresh groundwater.Limestone mining had allowed seawater to flow into the aquifer, causing an “irreversible loss.” This environmental knowledge has armed the actvists to stop limestone mining by powerful politicians. Dinubhai Solanki, a member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party, which governs Gujarat was associated with the illegal mining. The matter reached Mr.Narendra Modi and now the whole world knows what is happening in Gujarat. But again as you said, I am not sure whether it fixed the problem yet. One cannot equate Education with material wealth or the riches of this world. Education in itself is wealth that embellishes your mind and soul. Your spirit gets cleansed by quality education. Your mind acquires balance in a tottering world.Your paths of pursuit in life reach for eternal truth.
