My opinion may not matter in a public forum such as yours but I feel strongly that Indian culture must be part of our curriculum in schools with an aim to teach its values of Dharma, Ahimsa, Godliness, Cleanliness and Charity & well understood by our children. I know there is enough information in the history text books but to practise the virtues of our rich culture, curriculum designers must consider how culture can be taught as something interesting and enduring. It is the lack of which we are losing our kids to
strong forces of Westernization. They tend to pick up all the unwanted stuff from another culture and end up losing values. Educators must thik seriously about it.i

In fact there is a cultre war everywhere and casteism and communal pride are negatively influencing our culture. Politicians
incite trouble by setting one community against another. Religious intolerance and extremist views are the other known evils of our present day life. We all have to commit ourselves to the principle of practise of our culture. Culture is grossly misunderstood
by frequenting the music academy to watch a few music recitals or dance programs. It is not just frequenting places of worship.
It is buit to bring those values outside onto the street and demonstrate how to love your neighbour and learn to live in peace.
